Aescent Web Studio ("Aescent," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This notice explains how we collect and use personal information when you visit our public website, contact us about a project, or otherwise interact with us through the channels linked from the website.

We are a web studio based in Laguna, Philippines. We handle personal information in line with the Philippines' Data Privacy Act of 2012 and other applicable law.

1. Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Enquiry information: your name, business name, email address, phone number, project requirements, budget range, timeline, and any information or files you choose to send us.
• Project-estimator selections: choices you make in our on-site estimator, such as project type, number of pages, or requested features. The estimator currently uses those selections only to prepare a pre-filled email in your device's email application; it does not send them to an Aescent server by itself.
• Technical information: limited information that a website host or security provider normally records when a page is requested, such as IP address, browser/device type, referring page, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs.
• Communications on external platforms: information you choose to provide after following a link to email, Facebook, Messenger, or another third-party platform. Those platforms also process information under their own privacy terms.

Please do not send sensitive personal information, account passwords, payment-card details, government IDs, health information, or another person's personal data through an ordinary website enquiry unless we have specifically agreed on a secure method first.

2. Why we use information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

• respond to enquiries and discuss a potential website project;
• prepare estimates, proposals, project documents, or other requested materials;
• communicate with you and maintain appropriate business records;
• protect the website, prevent misuse, and investigate technical or security issues; and
• comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where required, we will ask for consent. In other cases, processing may be necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, to meet a legal obligation, or for Aescent's legitimate interests in operating and protecting its business, provided those interests do not override your rights.

3. Cookies and analytics

As of this notice's effective date, Aescent's public website does not use an advertising pixel, audience-tracking tool, or third-party analytics service that we have enabled. The website may still use technically necessary functions, and our hosting or security providers may process limited server logs as described above.

If we add analytics, advertising, cookies, or similar tracking technology, we will update this notice and provide any consent or choice mechanism required by applicable law before using non-essential technologies.

4. Who may receive information

We do not sell personal information. We may share it only when reasonably necessary with:

• service providers that support our email, website hosting, security, file storage, or business administration;
• third-party platforms you choose to use, such as Facebook or your email provider;
• professional advisers, insurers, or authorities where legally required or necessary to protect rights, safety, or property; and
• a successor business in connection with a lawful business transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards.

Our providers may process information outside the Philippines. Where that occurs, we will take reasonable steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable law.

5. How long we keep information

We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose described in this notice, including responding to your enquiry, managing a potential or active project, maintaining legitimate business records, or meeting legal obligations. We then delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it when no longer needed, subject to lawful retention requirements.

6. Security

We use reasonable organizational, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. No online transmission or storage system is completely secure, so please use care when sending information online and avoid sending sensitive information through ordinary email.

7. Your privacy rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to tell you whether we process your personal information, provide access to it, correct inaccurate information, or suspend, withdraw, block, remove, or destroy information that is no longer necessary or was processed unlawfully. You may also object to certain processing and lodge a complaint with the Philippine National Privacy Commission.

8. Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, and Aescent is not responsible for their content or processing activities. Please review their privacy notices before providing information to them.

Our website and services are intended for business enquiries and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our website, data practices, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
